This intimate Chateau de Cormicy wedding will have you swooning! After a chance meeting at a train station in Paris, Jamie + Clement’s international love story began! Jamie is American, Clement is French, and they have settled down in Switzerland together. I just love these kinds of mixed-nationality weddings because not only does it remind me of my own love story (which you can all read about here), but it means I get to speak in my native language and communicate with literally all the guests! (It’s actually quite practical for organizing family group shots too).
The perfect intimate wedding venue
The couple chose the Chateau de Cormicy wedding venue, run by Blanche-Marie and Laiticia, as Clement grew up in the region. Furthermore the venue really lended itself to the intimate feel the couple were looking for (guests can stay all weekend in one of the Chateau’s 12 bedrooms as part of their standard package, so it’s ideal for intimate destination weddings). The day began in the stunning Bridal Suite where Jamie and her childhood friends drank champagne and got ready together, followed by the ceremony which took place on the Chateau’s grounds under the trees. Several family members from both sides said a few words (as well as lots of inside jokes) before Jamie + Clement exchanged their vows.
The whole day perfectly encapsulated Jamie and Clement’s very relaxed personalities. There was zero stress, no rushing around, they simply enjoyed the moment and good food by Benjamin Gilles at Couvert des Vignes, with their closest people. Thank you both, for letting me be part of your intimate day, and to your friends for welcoming me in.
